Do you ever find yourself in an outfit that was featured in the Anthro Catalog? I did last night. The Shawl Collar Sweatercoat has been in my regular rotation since taking it home and I broke out my Southward Stop Shirtdress last night for rehearsal. Behold!
Sweater: Anthropologie Shawl Collar Sweatercoat ($79.95)
Dress: Anthropologie Southward Stop Shirtdress $128 (seems to be sold out!)
Belt: Anthropologie Fastened and Knotted Belt ($19.95)
Boots: Payless $30!
I fell in love with this dress all over again last night. I'm so glad I nabbed it when I did in August, because I think it's just super. The thin wale cord is really nice because you can layer it with something underneath if you want and it's light enough for warmer weather. Plus, I love the stupid birds and deer that are on it!!! I can't help it, the pattern is so cute and what initially sold me on the dress.
I need to go on a spending moratoriam as my November clothing budget is done as of this morning. I saw online that the Stretching Sprigs Cardigan had popped back in xs and I jumped on it like a hawk on a squirrel. I'm not an online Anthro shopper (without the free shipping anyway), but I have been watching that cardi for ages and I popped it into my cart and pressed confirm before you could blink. Then I noticed that it was the last one! So...there's a small part of me that thinks my order may or may not be getting canceled. I suppose we'll see if in fact I get the last cardi or if it was a fluke. In other news, my Marine Mural Dress arrived yesterday and I could NOT be happier. It's perfect and I cannot wait to have a reason (or some weather) to wear it! Come on Summer!!!!!!!
You look just like the catalog shot! Love the dress, but it didn't work out for me. I think there were two Stretching Sprigs XS's left because I noticed the popback yesterday afternoon and I, too, pounced on it and paid the ridiculous shipping fee! It shipped today. Yay! for popbacks, Boo! for shipping fees! I have the Marine Mural as well, but I need to alter the straps.
ReplyDeleteHooray for Southward Stop Shirtdress. I love mine too and wore it today :) I love the addition of the small things here like your headband and the belt. I think those small accessories add to the sweetness of the look.

Kay,
ReplyDeleteYou look so adorable in the Southward Stop. And the Shawl Collar coat is the perfect topper. I love finding stuff in my size online that I thought was sold out. It's difficult to pass on finds like those.
I too am a Military Brat. My Father gave his life in the Airforce, although it was during Peacetime in 1961. He was a jet mechanic. The plane crashed on the runway. I was 2 years old. My Grandfather, also a veteran died on Veterans Day in 2004. He was 92 years old.
Thank you Daddy and PopPop. Miss you and love you.
Gemma, mine shipped on Friday, so I guess we got the last ones! Huzzah!
ReplyDeleteLori, I love you in it too! I especially enjoy your layering it over the long sleeved shirt! So cute! I love headbands! I need to buy more! I have some crazy ones with feathers on them, but I always feel like they are too over the top. I need to be braver.
Laura, wow! I didn't know that about your family. Veterans Day must be something altogether a little different for you. God bless your dad and granddad :)
Military Brats are special, I think :) Both my mom and dad are retired army colonels. I was never grounded...always "On restriction."
