So here's a piece you don't see very often...The much-panned Galloping Filly Skirt! This is a really special skirt and I'm not going to lie and say it's easy to style this. It's got a crazy horse print, it's a burlap-looking soft fabric, it's got tons of tulle and it's ginormous. However...it's adorable and it's freaking got horses on it. It doesn't come out very much, but I thought it was the perfect day for it.
Sweater: Hot Sauce (hand-me-down from a good friend)
Skirt: Anthropologie, Galloping Filly Skirt
Boots: Payless
A high-heeled boot would have been perfect, but I am walking all over the city today and comfy shoes are a must. I love this skirt although it takes up tons of room in my closet and it's tricky to style. Since I teach private music lessons, I can get away with a quirky piece like this and I love it!
I'm going to try and swing by Anthro tomorrow to see the new arrivals. I haven't been in a B&M store in what seems like forever! Happy Tuesday, ladies!
Kay,
ReplyDeleteSo many negatives for such a fun skirt. I think you are just priming us. I love it when something is just a little difficult to style. When you get it right, you know it's an accomplishment. You did just that. And you always rock the big circle skirts with layers of tulle underneath, or pretty satin Pink lining that shows when you twirl.
Thanks for showing us this fabulous skirt of yours. I love seeing unfamiliar Anthro.
You are just so adorable Kay! I love how you take the pieces that many pass on and make them work for you, great job! I like the flat boots with it, but I am biased with flat shoes, since I tend to be quite the pedestrian. Have fun tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLaura, you are making me blush! :) I am a sucker for anything with horses on it (still jealous you got your pony tights!).
ReplyDeleteJess, thanks! And, I am with you on the flat shoes. Heels look so cute, but they are just not practical for all the walking I do around town. I DID have an awesome time at the Boston Anthro this morning...I have LOTS of reviews ready to run!
